Depression

What does Depression feel like?

You lay there struggling to get out of bed, going over the long list of things to do today. You don’t have the energy to put on a happy face anymore. An escape never sounded so good – another call-in day, a drive through binge, a shopping spree for things you don’t need, an extra glass of wine (or three). Making your partner, family, friends, your boss happy feels exhausting, but doing things for yourself feels selfish. You are terrified of others rejecting you, just like they did in the past.

You feel trapped and frozen in fear.

You want to feel comfortable in your own skin, looking forward to the day and knowing that you can handle your feelings, instead of them taking over. You want to feel truly happy and be able to share it with someone who feels exciting, fills your life with passion and love, and who you can count on. You want to be able to say no and not feel guilty.

Let me help you stop fighting with yourself and feel hopeful again!

Depression, like many mental health issues, is on a spectrum. People with depression might feel any or all of the following: hopelessness, sadness, lack of motivation & energy, have problems sleeping or excessively sleep, gain weight or lose weight, or trouble concentrating. Depression can also be associated with thoughts of suicide. When the symptoms of depression become overwhelming, and interfere with the quality of life, it could be time to get help. I believe, you deserve to feel better.

I can help you set realistic goals surrounding your physical, mental, and emotional health. We will work together to look at past and present contributors to your depression. There is hope for emotional healing and improving your mood.
